Overview of Project:

For those of unfamiliar to MUGEN, MUGEN is a customizable fighting game engine that pretty much allows you to do anything you want, provided you have the patience. But this isn't about a MUGEN history lesson...

Ever since release of the first Smash Bros, my friend and I had ideas for a fighting game as well (who didn't?). However, after getting accustomed to, and enjoying the Capcom fighters at the time, I wanted to make a game closer to the arcade fighters' style. Then I learned about MUGEN. Unfortunately, by the time I heard of it, the operation had went underground and all sites were pretty much dead.

The idea came back to me after I had made those Smash Bros Brawl gifs (especially Nidorina vs Akuma, which is a parody of Capcom fighters). They reminded me how I wanted to make some sort of fighting game. Fortunately, I learned MUGEN had seemingly come back. I knew what I had to do...
